This video shows the restorative technique for large class II preparation using the semidirect technique.
After impression with alginate, a flexible die is produced using model silicone, on which the composite resin is incrementally applied using two different translucency levels or shades (Dentin / opaque, chromatic enamel).
The technique of previous cusps delimitation and groves characterization using tints is presented, simplifying the orientation for the modeling of the last layer.
The restoration is finished and polished outside the mouth, being luted using dual-curing adhesive system and resin cement.
The steps for preparation of the removable die, treatment of the inner surface of the restoration and adhesive luting are presented in detail.
