Calcifying epithelial odontogenic tumor (CEOT) is a rare benign lesion, that comprises 0.4 - 3% of all odontogenic tumors.
It has been eponymously called Pindborg tumor after JJ Pindborg first described it in 1955.
The lesion usually presents as an asymptomatic swelling and 50% of the cases have been reported to be associated with an unerupted tooth.
